Topic
The topic was magic in everyday life. We went around the circle and each told how we use magic or experience spirituality on a regular basis. Meditation was the most common answer, but some others that came up were: magical cooking, shielding, appreciating nature, creating things (crafts, jewelry, etc.), and interacting with animals. Many of the people who answered do not actively use magic or hold ritual everyday, but use it in a more passive way.

The other obvious incarnation of magic in everyday life is in the media. The popularity of books like Harry Potter, movies like The Craft and Practical Magic, and TV shows like Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch now help shape the landscape of our popular culture. For good or ill we are now in the public eye and need to be aware of it.
